As part of my doctoral thesis research on the representations of carnival in the miscellaneous system of popular representation in Buenos Aires, in tango, theater, and film between 1900 and 1960, this work aims to analyze the different modes of representation of Carnival in the one-act farce, Todo el año es carnaval (All Year Long is carnival). In previous works, we have provided a superficial description of Vacarezza's work. This time, we propose to approach a dense description (Geertz, 2003) of the modes of representation of carnival in the aforementioned work.
