Abstract

Santa Fe and Corrientes provinces are located in the Northeast Region of Argentina (NEA), where in the last 25 years, the archaeological knowledge was based on two well-known models of two authors: Jorge Rodríguez and Carlos Ceruti. Both of them were instructed at the same University and centred their studies on the above mentioned provinces. The aim of this paper is to critically analyse the archaeological development of the NEA, and to show the pre-Columbian cultural dynamic models of the region done by these authors starting from archaeological evidence; considering also the most recent researches developed by other researchers.
