Beneficencia y gobierno en la ciudad de Buenos Aires (1812-1816)

Through a study of the organization of the social beneficence in Buenos Aires, the purpose of this work is to question the construction process of the State in Argentina. lt particularly discusses Oszlak's thesis on the "social expropriation" conducted by the State in the matter of social welfare, showing the necessity lo rethink the articulation of these forms of government with the sovereignty of the State. lt emphasizes specially the role played by the "charity actors" that induces rethinking the process of transference from the sovereignty of the monarchy to the national State.
