Social Studies on Music in Argentina. Notes for a Balance about the I Congress on Social Studies of Music

Abstract

The aim of this work is to make a balance on the reflections developed in the I Conference of Social Studies of Music (Facultad de Trabajo Social, Universidad Nacional de La Plata). While pointing out the main lines of research that were presented at the encounter seeks to reflect on the potential of approaching the musical from a social and cultural perspective. The final reflections are present an agenda of pending theoretical and methodological challenges in the field of social studies of music.
