Abstract

The reflections on ethical dilemmas that arise in professional practice are
important moments of redefinitions of our ethnography practice. This paper reviews
how systematic and different reflection on ethical dilemmas may enrich the debate
about the way we make ethnography and the appropriate methods for carrying it
out. I also analyze the importance of giving some philosophical and anthropological
definitions about ethics and moral, to rethink the way social anthropologist are
thinking about the issue in contemporary context.
