Abstract

Real Women Have Curves, by Chicana playwright Josefina López, is examined from the perspective of queer theory as regards the use of the image of the fat woman to break streotypes about Latina women and challenge Anglo heterosexist images about female beauty, toward instilling dignity in the Latina body.
