Abstract

In this interview with Emily Coates, professor at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University, the choreographer and dancer shares her innovative approach to the study of dance and physics. Coates reflects on the dance training efforts in which she has participated, in places such as Mexico and Burkina Faso. In addition to her extensive career as a performing artist, Coates has also contributed to scholarly literature on dance and performance. Overall, Emily Coates' career is notable for its commitment to dance as a form of art and interdisciplinary knowledge.
