On peace in book XIX of The city of God

Abstract

In this note, regarding the 19th book of The City of God, the ontological character of peace for Augustine is highlighted, being that which preserves every kind of created thing in being. Thus, it presents the links between the pax and the ordo in Augustinian Theory.
