Abstract

This paper deals with the political consequences of Wyclif’s ecclesiological thought, in particular of his extreme theory about divine predestination. The paper is organized in three parts: (1) Starting from a short analysis of Gottschalk’s (IX Century) predestination theory, (2) then we analyse the basis of Wyclif’s ecclesiology and (3) its utopian consequences.
